CAD ENGINEER

What You’ll Do

As a CAD engineer, you will be responsible for and prioritize tasks that regard leading the internal design work, supplier cooperation, and securing future development steps of the components of your responsibility.

Most of the design work is done in collaboration with our suppliers. You will work from early in the industrialization phase until the start of production.

The overall development work is done in close cooperation with Manufacturing, Procurement, and Suppliers; hence you can expect many different interfaces to work with. You will work in a truly global environment with many contact points with stakeholders in China, the US, and EU countries.

You will be a member of the Cooling module HW team as Design Lead, work in a true agile team, securing results and deliveries in accordance with the ART vision.

You are responsible for Designing heat exchangers and fans within.

Represent the team in packaging meetings. Ensure that the technical documentation (TCE, KDP) is available at the right level and at the right time.

Contact with CAE, manufacturing, testing facilities and other departments within Volvo Cars to agree on required action.

Follow up car builds and manufacturing of both production material and prototypes, perform design reviews, FMEAs, etc.
Who You are
-
Engineering background (BSc university degree or higher) and experience in design engineering work.

Working with internal/external projects before and having a good understanding of how it works.

Knowledge of Catia and Teamcenter is necessary.

Previous experience working with electrical components is beneficial.

Fluent in English, spoken and written, and have a driving license “B” valid in Sweden.
